Hanson Galleries has invited HMAG members to do a joint show with ClayHouston during American Craft Week. Our 2010 show with Hanson Galleries was very successful. As we visted with Donna Milstein and her staff, they told us that color really speaks to their customers. Suggested themes: asymmetric design; different or unique; emotional; dramatic; sculptural pieces; storytelling. Pieces do not have to be jewelry. Hanson Galleries customers like containers, wall art and pieces with dynamic design. This show is the perfect opportunity to be very creative with your work.

This organization lives because of personal commitment, personal goals and greed, yes greed. We all belong to this organization because we want something from it. You evaluate your own requirements. Mine may be simple or complex, but I do know that last year I put my name on the slate for officers because I saw my opportunity for fulfilling some of my goals may not happen if we no longer had a Houston Metal Arts Guild.
