I have a B.A. in sculpture from the University of new Orleans. Since 2010 I have been studying metalsmithing at Lone Star College with Martha Ferguson. 9 Photos I am a 3D mixed media collage artist and the creator of original Spirit Blocks. Spirit Blocks combine metal, color and texture on a small wooden palette to inspire your daily life. 10 Photos Martha Ferguson earned her MFA in Metals and Jewelry from Miami University in Oxford, OH, and her BFA from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in Savannah, GA. 4 Photos Priscilla began making jewelry as a child and has continued, on and off, for most of her life. 6 Photos Mary Jarvis is an award-winning beadmaker and studio jeweler in Spring, Texas. She has a B.A. from The University of Mississippi in Graphic Design. She designed publications for The University of Mississippi and WKNO-TV in Memphis, Tennessee. After attending a workshop, she began making glass beads and jewelry. In 2001 she began working as a full time jewerly artist out of her studio.
3 Photos Jan is the enameling teacher at the Glassell School of Art in Houston, Texas, and a Masters of Fine Arts candidate at the University of Houston. Her work is widely exhibited and collected.
14 Photos I'm inspired by walks in the woods; by flowers in my garden. I love rich pattern, ornate ethnic textiles and symbolic tribal adornment. Extensive travel, as well as living many years in Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Colombia, has also influenced my aesthetic. 7 Photos Jeff McGee is an artist/educator originally from western New York State. He moved to Houston in January 2011 when he was hired as the full-time Metals and Sculpture Professor at San Jacinto College South Campus. 10 Photos Julia is a self-taught silversmith. What began as an accident has become a part of who she is. The esthetics of everyday life inspire every moment of her day. 8 Photos Vanessa considers herself a bit of a Mixed Media Jewelry Artist, incorporating many different jewelry making methods and materials into her One-of-a-Kind Art Jewelry Pieces. She uses precious metals, glass, gemstones, plastic, beads, enamels, paint, and more. 6 Photos Cathy studied under Val Link at the University of Houston and has not put the torch down since. She creates and teaches in her wonderful studio in the Heights. She works with mixed metals including Precious Metal Clay (PMC), glass and ceramics. 7 Photos My life’s path is that of a goldsmith, a path of over 35 years. I love creating wearable works of art. I can sit still for hours, blissfully focused bending, soldering and filling a half of millimeter of gold to get a perfect fit. 5 Photos Mary is an award-winning jeweler, teacher, and artist, whose distinctive mixed metal jewelry designs are widely collected. She is the art teacher at Bellaire High School and the jewelry instructor at the Art League of Houston. 5 Photos Teresa is a studio jeweler and enamellist living and working in Houston.
Her influences are natural forms and colors. Her work includes include lost wax casting, enameling and stone setting.
6 Photos Amber is a metalsmith and enamelist whose work is in high demand. 6 Photos I like to make jewelry that is provocative and stimulating. My jewelry is not for the timid, but for those who know who they are, and are comfortable
