Join us in person for an Artist Talk and discussion with Tarina Frank. Â Tarina Frank grew up living on a sailboat throughout her early childhood with her Swedish father and Argentinian mother. She attended the University of Texas at Austin to earn her BFA in Studio Art with a focus on Metalsmithing. Upon completing her bachelors, she went on to teach at KIPP Sunnyside High School as the founding art teacher. Tarina was awarded a 9-month residency at Houston Center for Contemporary Craft in 2012 - 2013 as a paper and metals artist. Â In June of 2013, Tarina moved to Stockholm, Sweden to earn her MFA in Jewelry from Konstfack University. Tarina and Randall returned from Sweden and set up a jewelry and painting/sculpture studio on the Northside of Houston where they live with their 2 children Malte and Marin, 2 hairless dogs, and a cat. Tarina currently works at Houston Center for Contemporary Craft as the Education and Programs Manager.
