About

Join us in person for an Artist Talk and discussion with Tarina Frank.  Tarina Frank grew up living on a sailboat throughout her early childhood with her Swedish father and Argentinian mother. She attended the University of Texas at Austin to earn her BFA in Studio Art with a focus on Metalsmithing. Upon completing her bachelors, she went on to teach at KIPP Sunnyside High School as the founding art teacher. Tarina was awarded a 9-month residency at Houston Center for Contemporary Craft in 2012 - 2013 as a paper and metals artist.  In June of 2013, Tarina moved to Stockholm, Sweden to earn her MFA in Jewelry from Konstfack University. Tarina and Randall returned from Sweden and set up a jewelry and painting/sculpture studio on the Northside of Houston where they live with their 2 children Malte and Marin, 2 hairless dogs, and a cat. Tarina currently works at Houston Center for Contemporary Craft as the Education and Programs Manager.
