Program - Professional Development

Join us for a virtual converstaion with Jessica Jacobi, HMAG President, about how to put together materials to advance your professional opportunities.  We will discuss examples and tips for putting together materials that are part of many applications for grants, scholarships, exhibitions, and more.  This includes putting together a resume to showcase your art background and forming an artist statement or statement of purpose.  You can use these skills to enhace your professional materials for many different art opportunities, including the upcoming HMAG Member Development Grant!  

The Program will be on Zoom, and you will need to RSVP for the meeting invite.  We will also email you copies of the documents discussed in the Program.  We look forward to having a meaningful exchange that helps our community access more opportunities.  You can RSVP by emailing Jessica at hmagpres@gmail.com.

Jessica received her MFA in Metalsmithing and Jewelry Design from Texas Tech Universtiy, and she is the Development Manager at the Houston Center for Contemporary Craft.  She also teaches at Houston Community College.
