This workshop focuses on creating pendants, brooches, or small-scale sculpture using steel. Beginning with templates, students will focus on how to create three-dimensional forms by utilizing scoring and bending techniques and fabrication. Surface design and embellishment will be covered through demonstrations in finishing and patinas. Students will also become familiar with how non-ferrous techniques such as sawing and soldering translate into working with steel. Â Personal expression will be emphasized while students work through a series of finished samples.
